Chef pic 3For eight years, Ashley Weaver was a valuable player for Master American Chef Charlie Palmer and The Charlie Palmer Group. The Institute of Culinary Education of New York City  graduate began as an extern in Palmer’s New York landmark Aureole where she sharpened her skills by successfully working her through each station. In recognition of her growing abilities, she was promoted to Junior Sous Chef and assisted in the relocation of the restaurant from the original Upper Eastside townhouse to the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world.

There Weaver again tested her kitchen command by acting as tournant for six stations while directing the externship program. After four years in New York, the Colorado native took the opportunity to go west, becoming Sous Chef for Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdales in Costa Mesa and then Executive Sous Chef, receiving accolades from the Orange County Register for “Favorite Desserts in Orange County.” Her outstanding organizational skills and notable kitchen flair landed Weaver at the controls of Burritt Tavern in the Mystic Hotel: Union Square, San Francisco, where she earned two out of three stars from the San Francisco Chronicle.

After a successful first year, Chef Ashley traveled to a few of her favorite cities to enjoy the restaurants of some of her chef heroes. Now she has moved to her family home bringing her experience, knowledge, and passion for food to the Salt Lake City area.
